Enironmental Policy
Sequatchie Concrete Service Inc. is a family owned company established in 1954 as a leading provider of ready-mix concrete, concrete blocks, lumber and crushed sand. We recognize that efficient resource use and protection of the environment are vital for the continued success of our operations and provide a valuable benefit to our customers, community and employees. Our goal is to act as responsible stewards of the environment and we are committed to the continuous improvement in our environmental performance. This requires each Sequatchie employee to participate in and accept responsibility for achieving the following goals:
- Operate our trucks and facilities in an environmentally sound manner.
- Conservation and recycling/reduction in the amount of waste materials generated by our company’s production processes.
- Communicate and advance the use of environmental best practices throughout the company.
- Continuously strive to adopt practices that minimize the effects of our operations on the environment.
- Specifying the use of recycled materials from our vendors and contractors carrying out work on behalf of Sequatchie Concrete.
- To continuously monitor, evaluate and improve the environmental impact of our plants and mining facilities.
- To meet or exceed all local, state and federal environmental regulations.
- Respond to the needs and concerns of the community.
This policy applies to all employees, departments and functions throughout Sequatchie Concrete Services. The full participation of everyone is expected and necessary in order to meet the goals set forth in this policy.
